JOTA 2014

Now is the time to start planning your operation

It's the 57th Jamboree on the Air and yet there are still millions that haven't heard about it --- many of them are in your Scout council, district, and troop! Now is the time to start your planning, beginning with discussing JOTA with your local Scouting organization. Hopefully, you'll be able to line up a camporee with JOTA weekend.
Need help in explaining JOTA? Here's some presentations designed for both Scouters and amateur radio operators. Match them to your audience. Good Luck!

Station Registration

The station registration system will be available in May. We will get word out on the K2BSA.Scouting Facebook Pageand via this email newsletter.

It operates at theNational Jamboree and the call sign is available for use during other Scouting events. You can find more information at their website.

Icom Station Loans

As part of their sponsorship of Radio Scouting, Icom America has provided 10 complete amateur radio stations for loan to local Scout councils to support merit badge workshops, summer camps, and Jamboree on the Air. They have been in use for over two years now and provided superb support to Radio Scouting. You can learn more at Icom Station Loans.
